I am so very excited to announce that my husband and I have officially put in our application to adopt a child (possibly special needs) from South Korea. We were really struggling with which form of adoption to do (open/closed domestic, foster to adopt, international adoption, embryo adoption), but our hearts really landed on international. We then went through a several week long process of trying to figure out an agency and country program. Because there is issues with travel caused by me and my intense phobia of flying, the Lord was able to really narrow it down for us. It turned out because of our age, income, and travel issues, one of the few countries we are eligible for is South Korea. We also could have gone through the "waiting Children" program for Hong Kong or Taiwan, but because my husband spent a year in South Korea in the military, we felt that was the best choice for us.
This is getting very exciting and very scary! Please be in prayer for our family if you feel the need. Pray for us to prepare our hearts and home for the child, and also that God would provide the money to complete this very expensive process. Thank you!
South Korea.

We will certainly be praying for you and the little one God has waiting for you! How exciting!
We've often thought about China, but with their getting more and more "ridiculous" we're thinking somewhere else in Asia.
YES! YES YES YES! I'm so excited! Please keep us updated! :) I have really wept and rejoiced over the trials and joys of another friend's adoption of a boy with down syndrome from the Ukraine.
This is totally awesome! Keep us posted on how we can pray and help out!
